Case study
How Grantboost cut QA time from days to minutes.
A small team building an AI grant-writing product, with no dedicated QA hire and no spare engineering hours to act like one.

QA visibility: days → minutes
The bottleneck
Grantboost is a small team, and nobody on it was hired to do QA full time. Every ticket that needed browser-level verification meant pulling an engineer off feature work to click through the flow by hand and report back, and with no one dedicated to the job, that pass routinely got pushed behind whatever was shipping next. Tickets could sit for days with no visibility into whether they'd actually passed, and the same engineers best equipped to build the next feature were the ones stuck re-testing the last one. QA wasn't broken so much as it was competing for time against everything else on the roadmap, and it kept losing.
The fix
LightningCode plugged directly into the Jira board Grantboost already used, no new process to adopt. The moment a ticket moved into the QA column, it triggered a real-browser Playwright run automatically, no engineer had to stop what they were doing to pick it up. Pass or fail landed back on the ticket within minutes, with a full session replay attached so anyone on the team could see exactly what happened without re-running it themselves. QA stopped being a queue the team had to staff.
"We built LightningCode to solve our own problem. As a small team, we needed a way to accelerate our development velocity while still adhering to a high level of product quality. Building lightningcode enabled us to deliver better products, faster to our customers."
